An active gliding airfield in North-Kouvola south of the Vuohijärvi village. The Kouvolan Seudun Ilmailuyhdistys (KILY) flying club and the paragliding club Kotkan Siipiveikot operate on this field. The gliders are mainly towed by winching, because of this overflights should be avoided. The towing line of the paragliders may also reach a height of up to 800 metres. There is also flying with motor-gliders, ultralights and experimental airplanes in the field. It is possible to stay comfortably in the field even longer times: In addition to rental cabins and a trailer park common lodging is offered in the clubhouse, a dwelling rich in aviation history. The sauna is heated daily during the flying season. Food can be prepared in the kitchen of the café building or the grill awning, there are flush toilets and shovers in the service building. A dishwasher and a washing machine are further available. All lodgings have refrigerators where personal foodstuffs can be stored.
