2. General information:

The airfield is located about 25km east city of Salo. The flying club Salon Seudun Ilmailukerho operates both gliders and motor planes on the airport. Gliders and paragliders use winch launching. Be aware of that when approaching the airport.
The flying club also operates motor gliders and Ultralights at the airport. There is also frequent training activities
Visiting planes should use the parking place near the intersection of the runways in front of the Club building.
There are also tree private motor planes operating from the field and some paragliding activity conducted by Someron Ilmailuyhdistys r.y. Paragliders also use winch launching.
Overnight staying in the club building may be possible, please inquire about that from the field chief . the Center of Kiikala is located about 7 km from the airport.

4. The Airport:

Good condition asphalted runways, 18/36 and 10/28. The taxiways and the parking is also in good condition. The runway fringe area is sand and the surface is usable for taxing. The Glider Winch is mainly used on runway 18/36.

6. Sight seeing and services

The nearest places to eat are in the Kitula area of Suomusjärvi and near the center of Kiikala, both about 7 kilometers away. The town of Salo is 25 km west of the number one road. Turku is about 75 km away.
