1. General information:
A grass field situated som five kilometres from Lapinlahti village to the east-northeast. The field is approved for ultralights and comparable aircraft only. The field is also used for radio controlled model aircraft flying. Buildings on the field include a hangar, a flight preparation barrack, classroom space, an outdoor toilet, and a shed, where it is possible to overnight by previous agreement. There is electricity and possible to heat food in the buildings, running rainwater and an outdoor fireplace. The local club evenings are usually on Thursdays, with a lot of activity on the field.
2. The Airport:
The field is lawn covered. There may be small uneven spots. Some water may collect along the north edge right after a rainfall. The northeast end of the runway is a couple of metres higher than the southwest end. Consequently, when landing on runway 22 it seems shorter than it really is. Also, approach is made over a road higher than the surface of the runway. The clusters of trees around the field may create disturbing vortices on the field. There are no taxiways. The apron is in front of the shed. There are weights of concrete. In the winter the club strives to keep the field free of snow. In winter it is advisable to check the condition of the field by phone.

An aerial view from south east taken in the fall of 2008. Just outside the picture below is a power line marked with balls, across the approach line. The large road on the left comes from Lapinlahti and leads to Paisua. The road at the end of the runway is Saviahontie. The end of 04 is lower than 22, so it is easier to land from this direction if the winds permit. Photo Pasi Kannasmaa.
