2. General information:
The southernmost airfield in Finland is located 8 kilometers from downtown Hanko. One local club Hanko air club (Hangon lentokerho, hangonlentokerho.fi) operates from the airfield.
Occasionally there can be drone activity by the authorities. Generally Hanko airfield is a quiet airfield and offers a stunning view over the archipelago. Those flying to Hanko should note the nearby restricted area (EFR83), the permanent ly restricted areas (EFR43, EFR45) and the Noise Abatement area south of the airfield (1000 Ft).
With winds from south-east there can be some turbulence on final.
