2. General information:
A private airfield situated in the grounds of the Wredeby estate in Kymenlaakso, where visitors are always welcome. The river makes even water landings and take-offs possible. An outstanding place to visit! Beautiful scenery, and short runway practice is offered.

4. The Airport:
The runway is gravel/grass surfaced. Water at both ends – a river in the east, a lake in the west, so there are no significant obstacles in the end sectors. The at times strong downdrafts caused by the cold flowing river should be taken seriously in the final part of 25.
Seaplane pilots should note that power lines cross the river on the north side of the field and there are plenty of underwater rocks under the rock ledge next to the runway.
Especially during the spring floods, the lake level rises, shortening the length of the runway from the end of 25 and moving it from the threshold of 07. In the airport area and its surroundings, there are plenty of migratory birds in spring and autumn.
We try to cut the grass regularly, but it may be a little longer from time to time. Call the airport manager to get up-to-date situational information, if you don’t have it yourself!

6. Sight seeing and services
The field is situated in a beautiful landscape. The flowing Kymi river offers fishing and camping opportunities. The foundations of Finnish law were laid in Wredeby, a memorial is close by in the terrain. The manor itself is used as a residence.
In the neighborhood are the landscapes and sights of Kymenlaakso. The nearest urban are with shops, food and accommodation service available is in Anjala, 7 km away. Another two kilometers further lies Inkeroinen, with more services.
